Traveling with kids in Bali is magical—until someone gets sick. We just survived three messy days of fevers, vomiting, and far too many diaper changes. Sound familiar? Here’s what helped us get through our family’s mini health crisis, and what you can do if your little ones get sick in Bali. First off: don’t panic, but do pay attention. Bali has solid medical options, especially in tourist-friendly areas. One game-changer for us was HaloDoc—a local app that delivers medications right to your villa. We got electrolytes, paracetamol, and oral rehydration solutions for the kids in under two hours. Too stressed to pack everyone up for a clinic visit? Call a doctor to your villa. Villa visits are common in Bali, and many general practitioners even speak English. Our villa doc was calm, thorough, and brought meds along. In the meantime, here’s what else helped us stay sane: - Coffee (always helpful) - Local laundry services on speed dial - Stocking up on bottled water and bland snacks - Cuddles (lots and lots of cuddles) If your child shows signs of high fever, rash, or unusual fatigue, consider getting checked for dengue—it’s more common than you’d think in Bali. Trust your instincts: if something feels off, don’t wait it out. It’s tough watching your kids feel crummy, especially away from home. But with the right resources, good local support, and a little help from HaloDoc, you can manage the chaos.
