Bali's Sky Dancers: Discover the Magic of the Bali Kite Season
The more you look 👀 The more kites you will see 🤩 If you’ve been to Bali between June and September, you’ve probably spotted giant, colorful kites dancing in the sky — like these beauties we caught today. They’re not just for fun. In Balinese culture, these long-tail kites (called Layangan) are flown to send messages to the gods, asking for good harvests and blessings. The Bali Kite Festival is the big celebration, where villages compete with incredible designs — some over 10 metres long! But even outside the festival, you’ll see the skies fill with them on windy afternoons. Tip: If you want to watch, head to the beaches around Sanur, Mertasari, or Padang Galak — they’re popular launch spots. Just don’t stand too close… the tails are longer than you think! #BaliKites #BaliCulture #ExploreBali #BaliWithKids #BaliFamilyFinds
