Thinking about getting dental work done in Bali? Here's what it really cost our family of six to get full dental check-ups and cleans—and spoiler: it was a fraction of what we’d spend back home in Australia 🇦🇺.
We booked into a highly-rated dental clinic in Canggu, known for its modern facilities and English-speaking staff. For all six of us (yes, even the little ones!), we opted for a comprehensive package that included a full check-up, scale, polish, and a fluoride treatment.
The total? Just AUD $360 (approx. IDR 3.6 million)! That worked out to only $60 per person. In comparison, we’d easily pay double or more per adult back in Australia.
During my check-up, I discovered I needed my first-ever filling—at 30-something years old 😱. The good news? It was completely painless, professionally done, and just added around AUD $80 to our total bill. Honestly, the quality of care blew me away—and I say that as someone who dreads the dentist!
We chose SOMA Dental, a clean and friendly clinic with modern equipment (and a gorgeous coffee shop next door for post-appointment treats). They've also got great ratings among expat families here.
So if you’ve been curious about dental tourism in Bali, or simply need to fit in a long-overdue clean while you're here—this might be your sign 🪥✨.
It’s affordable, it’s family-friendly, and it might just be the most relaxed dental visit you’ll ever have, kids included!
